01 — AboutWhat Pipeline Bio is
Pipeline Bio is an online Platform that simplifies how biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medtech, academic, hospital research, and other life science organisations discover, evaluate, and engage external scientific capability.
Our mission is to connect every life science team with the capability their work demands, and every Provider with the work they are built to do.
Pipeline Bio was founded in Australia with a focus on making scientific capability easier to discover and access. The Platform has expanded across the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together a wide range of life science teams and Provider Organisations while continuing to strengthen visibility of Australian capability.
The Platform brings structure, transparency, and efficiency to scientific sourcing. Members work from a structured Directory of Providers and a Catalogue of Capabilities organised through a consistent Capability Taxonomy, rather than relying only on personal networks, fragmented web searches, and manual outreach.
Pipeline Bio Pty Ltd was co-founded by Nenad Sejic (Managing Director) and James Cooney (Business Director). Members may use Pipeline Bio from anywhere in the world. Eligible Provider Organisations across Asia-Pacific may create and manage a Storefront, subject to verification.
Pipeline Bio provides discovery, structured search, an AI Search Agent, enquiries, and RFP submission. It is not a matchmaking agency and does not guarantee Provider quality. Members evaluate and engage independent Providers directly through the Platform.
02 — ValuesWhat guides Pipeline Bio
- Access
- We keep scientific capability visible and within reach, because capability that cannot be found may as well not exist.
- Integrity
- We hold our claims to the standard science holds its data: nothing embellished, nothing we cannot stand behind.
- Clarity
- We bring order to a noisy process: defined terms, consistent structure, and plain language in everything we build and write.
- Science-first
- We judge every feature by whether it returns time and attention to the science, for the Members outsourcing work and the Providers delivering it.
03 — CapabilityWhat the Platform does
Pipeline Bio connects biotech and pharma teams worldwide with leading Providers across Asia-Pacific in one centralised, easy-to-use Platform. We provide the tools needed to build an informed view of the region's capabilities and accelerate sourcing decisions.

- Navigate a Catalogue of Capabilities organised by the Capability Taxonomy across the research and development lifecycle.
- Discover fee-for-service offerings, collaboration opportunities, and technologies available for licensing.
- Compare Providers across capabilities, country or region, and Quality and Compliance Accreditations.
- Draft structured Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and submit enquiries directly to Providers through the Platform.
- Use an AI Search Agent to surface relevant Providers and capabilities from natural, goal-oriented queries.
- Access project-scoping support when requirements are complex or suitable capability is difficult to identify.
- For projects involving Australian Providers, access support for evidence relevant to the Australian R&D Tax Incentive and Overseas Finding applications.
Members anywhere in the world can use Pipeline Bio to discover and engage Providers across Asia-Pacific. Eligible Provider Organisations registered within the region can create and manage a Storefront, subject to verification.

06 — Who We ServeLife science teams across the R&D lifecycle
Pipeline Bio serves biotech, medtech, pharma teams, academic laboratories, hospital research units, and other organisations working across pre-clinical, translational, and clinical development.
Members can use the Platform to identify Providers across Asia-Pacific, compare scientific and specialist capabilities, prepare structured RFPs, submit enquiries, communicate through in-built Chat, and access project-scoping support when requirements need further definition.
07 — How It WorksStructured discovery and direct engagement
The Pipeline Bio Database provides current Provider listings and succinct Capability descriptions. The structured Capability Taxonomy enables precise search and straightforward comparisons across Providers, services, locations, and Quality and Compliance Accreditations.
When a Member is ready to engage, they can prepare and send an enquiry or Request for Proposal (RFP) directly to a Provider through the Platform. Providers can manage their Storefront, present their expertise in a consistent format, and respond to relevant project opportunities from life science teams worldwide.
08 — EcosystemScientific capability across Asia-Pacific
Pipeline Bio was founded in Australia and began by mapping the country's fee-for-service life science capability. That work remains part of the Platform as coverage expands across Asia-Pacific, creating a broader view of Providers, services, facilities, collaboration opportunities, and technologies throughout the region.
In July 2026, Pipeline Bio published an analysis of the Australian fee-for-service life science Provider landscape. At the time of that snapshot, the Database contained 258 Australian Providers publishing 5,944 fee-for-service capabilities mapped through the Capability Taxonomy. The report was authored by James Cooney and Nenad Sejic.
The Australian report is a country-specific analysis rather than a statement of the Platform's geographic limit. Additional regional coverage and market-level resources will be developed as the Asia-Pacific Provider base grows. Collaboration and licensing capabilities sit outside the fee-for-service counts reported in the Australian analysis.

For Service Providers
- How does an organisation get listed as a Provider?
- There is no cost for organisations to create or edit a storefront and list their capabilities on Pipeline Bio. If your organisation provides capabilities to third parties in the life sciences sector and is registered within an eligible Asia-Pacific market, you can create a new Storefront by clicking the “Get listed” button on the homepage and completing the short form. Pipeline Bio verifies details before a listing goes live.
- My organisation is already listed. How do I take control of the storefront?
- If your organisation already appears in the Pipeline Bio directory, you can claim and manage your listing at any time by clicking the “Get listed” button on the homepage and completing the short form. After you create your free account, Pipeline Bio verifies that you are an authorised representative before granting access.

- When a Member submits an enquiry about your capabilities, you will receive an email notification summarising their request. If the Member has consented to share their contact details, these will be included so you can respond directly. If no contact details are shown, you will first need to register to respond through the Platform.
- How do I send an enquiry to a Provider?
- Once you have found a suitable Provider capability, open their storefront and click “Send enquiry” on the relevant listing, or click “Send enquiry” on the relevant capability. You will be asked to provide a short message if you are requesting more information.
Enquiries and RFPs
- How do I send a Request for Proposal (RFP) to a Provider?
- An RFP is created from the standard Pipeline Bio RFP template, designed to capture key project details such as study objectives, timelines, and required capabilities. Once generated, your RFP becomes a live, editable document that you can update at any time and share with as many Providers as you choose.
- Can I update an RFP after sharing it?
- Yes. Because RFPs on Pipeline Bio are live editable documents, you can update your RFP at any time, even after sharing it with Providers. Updated versions become available to Providers with access to the RFP, so you can refine your requirements as your project evolves.
- Does Pipeline Bio help me identify suitable Providers?
- Yes. Pipeline Bio provides tools to help you identify the most suitable Providers for your project, including the searchable Directory of Providers, standardised Storefronts, the Capability Taxonomy, and an AI Search Agent that can answer specific queries and guide your search.
- Does Pipeline Bio process payments or manage contracts?
- No. Payments are not processed on the Platform. Members and Providers can exchange quotes and related documents directly through Pipeline Bio, but all commercial terms, invoicing, contracting, and payments are agreed and handled directly between the Member and the Provider.
- Does Pipeline Bio provide an NDA between Members and Providers?
- Pipeline Bio’s standard user terms do not include a confidentiality agreement or NDA between Members and Providers. If your enquiry or RFP contains sensitive technical or commercial information, we recommend arranging an NDA directly with the Provider before sharing details.
Membership and billing
- How is Pipeline Bio billed?
- Pipeline Bio paid memberships are priced in Australian dollars (AUD) and billed annually. Your subscription renews each year, and your membership, renewal date, invoices, and billing details can be managed through your billing account.
